I did invisible aligners as an adult with MyOrthodontist. My entire experience with this office has been a series of frustrations and terrible logistics. To note a few: I had to use a monitoring app that barely functioned and did not seem to be monitored by a real human, or at least nobody in this office, unless I sent a direct message, in which case I received a reply hopefully within the week. The app was eventually abandoned, which I suppose was an improvement. At one point I was told to move to the next set of aligners when I had none remaining. When I contacted the office, nobody got back to me for at least a week, and then I was not scheduled for nearly 2 months for a visit that took no more than 5 minutes. Scheduling is a nightmare in general, and the office seems unable to think ahead to plan visits for when they should actually occur in a treatment plan. I have routinely had to schedule visits more than a month out while doing nothing in terms of treatment progression, and then the visit itself is no more than a couple minutes of looking at my aligners before ordering the next set - which I again have to wait for the office to receive, after which I can schedule an appo

The employees here are very welcoming , nice, and professional. However I did have an appointment scheduled for my daughter in July of 2026 (next month) but I had received a call from the dental office yesterday 6/8/2026 offering me a sooner appointment for 6/9/2026 at 9:20am. I accepted the appointment with my full intention on my daughter being there . However I did have something that came up and I was in Raleigh stuck in a lot of traffic to my destination and so I knew I was going to be stuck in traffic coming back to Durham to get to the dentist office . So I gave the dental office a phone call at 8:00am to let them know I was going to be late but they didn’t open until 8:30 so I gave them a call again at 8:30am on the dot to let them know I wasn’t going to be able to make it until 10:00am because I was in traffic. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and understanding and said okay hold on really quick let me check with my manager to make sure it’s okay for you to still come and she also stated “ they should be able to see your daughter still but let me just check and make sure “. This place has such great customer service. Front desk is always so kind and helpful and the assistants in the back work great with my 8 year old. Very happy with our treatment here and professionalism.

I wasn’t listened to when it came to using my insurance benefits, which was very frustrating. I called my insurance company prior to going to this appointment. I tried to explain to the person going over the cost details that they need to call my insurance company. But she explained to me that they received a fax from them. I called my insurance company, they confirmed the fax that was sent, and pointed out a critical detail that they missed that would assist me in paying for their services. I know they do good work but I’m weighing my options heavily towards seeking services elsewhere
